The expedition of My Camera... From nature to abstracts.. The pictures that speak hundred words in the silence. They are the Talking Pictures..."A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know." said Diane Arbus.I also believe so. This nature freaked girl grew up with the sole idea of coloring the nature in her canvas so many times... But painting them wasn't that easy either .. and so I decided to freeze them by my camera.

Burning the Devil...!!
Dusshera , the Hindu festival is connected with the myth that after a fight of 10 days, Bhagwan SriRam killed Ravana, the king of Lanka and rescued Devi Sita..!! Its the victory of good over evil and so truth and goodness triumphs....!!
Few of Chaitra's friends and me made this effigy of Ravana and burnt... had sumptuous dinner and sweets, burst crackers...!! Had a great time. Thanks Pandey ji for the lovely organization of the festival... Life without friends like you wouldn't have been so colorful for sure...!!
Happy Dusshera to all near and dear ones.

Its heading for another fall of winter on the my land and clouds saying bye bye, downpour still continues heavy, esp last week. The feel is filled with pomp and enthusiasm and ceremony. Mystic dhoop and agarbatis, aratis and ghee fill the aura as its Dusshera and Durga Puja.

"Jaya Jaya Hai Mahisasura Mardini"
Devi is the great goddess of the Hindus, the consort of Shiva and she is worshiped in various forms corresponding to her two aspects: benevolence and fierceness. She is Uma, "light"; Gauri, "yellow or brilliant"; Parvati, "the mountaineer"; and Jagatmata, "the-mother-of-the-world" in her milder guise. The terrible emanations are Durga "the inaccessible"; Kali, "the black"; Chandi, "the fierce"; and Bhairavi, "the terrible."
Durga, a beautiful warrior seated upon a tiger, was the first appearance of the great goddess. The circumstance of her miraculous arrival was the tyranny of the monster-demon Mahishasur, who through terrific austerities had acquired invincible strength. The gods were afraid of this water-buffalo bull because neither Vishnu nor Shiva could prevail against him. It seemed that the joint energy of Shakti was only capable of vanquishing Mahisha, and so it was the eighteen-armed Durga who went out to do battle. The nine different forms of Devi are worshiped over the nine days. These are the most popular forms under which she is worshiped:
Durga Shailputri (Daughter of Mountain)
Brahmacharini
Chandraghanta
Kushmanda
Skanda Mata
Katyayani
Kalratri
Maha Gauri
Siddhidatri
~ Wishing all a happy Dushshera and Durga Puja.
