Whorled~

The leaves of this bamboo (picked from Siliguri market) are initially rolled in a whorl and as they grow out (one by one), the give rise to spiral (criss-crossing leaf pattern) phyllotaxy..! 
Interesting is botany...Isn't it!!

The sleeping botanist in me loves collecting such unique plants. At times, I wish I was working for a botanical garden like Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew ...!

~Happiness in a bottle~

Picked this attractive bottle from Namdharis. Its imported from Thailand and is supposedly the tender coconut juice. Sounds funny.. Its named as Young coconut juice auff inside tnd had bits of coconut slices in it. The packaging is what actually impressed me, though the stuff inside the bottle was just okay.

Book reading is an art and love for books is a passion. I wont claim myself as a bibliophile/ bibliophage (book worm).
But I do have a great book reader at my place and each story read by him is amazingly recorded in my brain.

We do pray in different styles. Prayers are the offerings of our mind and soul. One who prays everyday only knows its power. It gives peace and courage. It makes you strong from inside. It teaches you art of patience to fight the odds. And yes, we all are blessed in some or the other way my 'HIM'.

Rose & Love

The bond between rose and love is unique. Where there is love, rose blooms. Where love has to be expressed, rose is given. The flower of love...!
Recently one of my plant bloomed with these beauties. More buds are on queue to bloom in a week or so. The balcony is gonna be red for another few days making me feel happy and saner..!

Truly a flower that symbolizes love..!
The flower of love...! or rather the love of all flowers..!
And my love for rose is truly eternal..!

Strangers in the Night

A simple afternoon of a weekend .. Its Saturday.
Burrowed this book Strangers (not rangers) in the Night by Ruskin Bond (one of my favorite writers) from a friend,
found an old knick nack- An Entada (Elephant pod) Seed that I collected during May 2007 during my 1st visit to IISc (many memories got freshen up),
with some new twigs of Money plant (just settled them into a new pot) and
a glass of orange juice..!
I am indeed in peace with my inner soul. :)

Oh, how much I love the English style of breakfast... bread, butter and jam...!  Of course to accomplish that, I need a cup of hot tea...! And the day becomes a bright sunny day.. What a wonderful kick-ass in the morning!!

The Miniature figurine of a Giant

Saturdays are weekly offs for me. OMG...! I feel so excited when its Friday morning, I wait for the night to come so that Saturday comes and wish that it never ends. I also wish that everyday should be a Saturday.
Saturdays are special to me.. Reasons..
Shopping, Lazying around, Watching TV and movies, some cooking, and of course gardening, tending the plants and standing in the balcony for hours..!

I love collecting knick-knacks for my small balcony garden.. And this small figurine of the giant was bought last year from a mela..! Made of teracotta, this giant guards my pot and also makes me feel :) . No doubt I am a pseudo-ecologist!

The Art of

Reusing and Recycling...!

I love wine and empty wine bottles. I have been collecting the bottles and use them for planting Ivy plants in my home. If you get to visit my home, you will see them in front of my house, in the bathroom, in balconies and in kitchen also. They add the green colour and life to my home.

Memories..

In a rainy afternoon of this summer, over a cup of tea, when I flipped the old photo-album, it reminded me of my home, the old memories of my childhood and teenage times...!
