"Who is more foolish, the child afraid of the dark or the man afraid of the light? "
That's what I always wondered...
The celebration is at heights and the town is deep into crackers and in a way, adding poison to the mother earth. This year Diwali for me has got good news but i didn't celebrate it to a great pomp. I am not in for of pollution. Just lighted the diyas... no sweets either, office sucked me so much from inside, had no energy to bake any delicacy for puja... The "Akhanda" diya for Kali puja is still lighted up, yesterday it was flickering steadily for 6 hours or more... And I was happy. Got some awesome candles from Fabindia and two silver ear-rings for me and two Tees for Chai, one clearly messaging out SAVE TREES n OUR MOTHER.(though he didn't like it much)on Dhantrayodashi !!.....
That's my way of celebrating Diwali. :o)
Hope all of you have your style of diwali pomp and fun.
Slowly I have realized that one can't have a light without a dark to stick it in.
One liner that comes to my mind now is~
"There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. "
~Edith Wharton
Current Mood: Festive and Glad.
The expedition of My Camera... From nature to abstracts.. The pictures that speak hundred words in the silence. They are the Talking Pictures..."A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know." said Diane Arbus.I also believe so. This nature freaked girl grew up with the sole idea of coloring the nature in her canvas so many times... But painting them wasn't that easy either .. and so I decided to freeze them by my camera.
